WAS
Employment Service at World Aquaculture 2008
All employers and those in particular from the Asian Pacific, Japan and Korean Chapters of WAS are encouraged to use the employment service to advertise job openings, review resumes of WAS members, and interview potential employees while at the conference. To have your job opening included in this year's employment listing, please send an attached file of each position announcement, preferably on your company or institution letterhead, to John Ewart, Employment Service Coordinator. Assistance will also available at the conference to help employers set up schedules for interviews and to answer any questions. Students and professionals seeking employment should forward a file of their resume to the Employment Service Coordinator.
The WAS Employment Service offers online posting and searching of job announcements and resumes is available throughout the year in cooperation with the Aquaculture Network Information Center (AquaNIC). The databases can be accessed via the World Aquaculture Society Home Page <www.was.org>, <darc.cms.udel.edu/wases/wasesinfo.htm> and <aquanic.org>. The WAS Employment Service and the AquaNIC/WAS job and resume databases serve as a clearinghouse for position announcements, resumes and links to other employment and aquatic science career information. Your suggestions for improving the way employment information is collected and distributed at the annual conference(s) and throughout the remainder of the year are welcomed. Please stop by the employment service booth while at the conference or address any comments you may have to John W. Ewart, WAS Employment Service, College of Marine Studies, University of Delaware, 700 Pilottown Road, Lewes, DE 19958.
